College & Career Program: The Next Step
Earning a GED is an important step toward self-sufficiency, but the next phase -- moving on to higher education or vocational school -- is vital in landing a job that pays a sustainable wage.
This is why we are excited to announce that 93% of our 2015 GED graduates moved on to our College and Career Program, where they receive support and resources as they navigate through college and vocational school.
This semester we have a record 11 teen moms in local colleges, from Front Range Community College to Red Rocks Community College to Metro State University of Denver. They are studying a variety of disciplines, from Dental Assistant to Registered Nurse to Criminal Justice.
Our Learning Lab is often busy with our teen moms who need tutoring or access to a computer in order to succeed in class, and their kids keep our Early Learning class hopping.
We believe their future is bright!
